What is Physical Therapy?
How and when would physical therapy help my child? Each child is unique in his/her development. Gross motor skills (such as sitting, crawling, walking, etc.) develop at different stages in a child's life. Some children may need assistance to develop these skills or to progress to the next level. Physical therapy can help assist children in developing these skills. A licensed physical therapist or physical therapist's assistant will help with positioning exercises and, when necessary, adaptations to give your child the skills necessary to function independently with their peers. |
