· This session will help you identify skills that are obtained
in relation to appropriate development and play activity within
an age-appropriate time frame, as well as provide suggestions
for toys and play activities.
What Foods to Introduce and When?
· November 18, 7:00 – 8:30 pm

various types of foods and textures, as well as a spoon, fork
and cup. It provides information about when you should seek
assistance and what warning signs you should look for if you are
concerned with your child’s oral intake.
Orthopedic Injuries in Children

· Presented by Kirk Heathers, a physical therapist and Positive
Results For Kids Clinical Director
· This session will help you understand current pediatric
orthopedic injuries and their management through therapy
techniques.

Succeed at School & Understanding Article 7
· September 24, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
· Presented by Joy Smith, a Positive Results For Kids speech
therapist with over 20 years experience. Joy has a son with
autism and has personally worked with the public school system
for the last 15 years. Joy has been an advocate for her child,
addressing issues within his school corporation and ensuring
that he receives high quality care.
· This session will help you identify your child’s needs at
school and in the classroom, and provide suggestions on
adaptations and tips to help your child be successful.
Speech and Language Development
· October 22, 7:00—8:30 pm
· Presented by Joy Smith, a Positive Results For Kids speech
therapist with over 20 years experience. Joy specializes in
treating various disorders such as Autism, Downs Syndrome head
trauma, language disorders, voice disorders and swallowing
disorders.
· This session will help you identify the development of sounds
and language as well as what to look for when a child stutters
and has voice disorders.
