Pregnancy Issues

   Physical Therapy for Pregnant Women

Pregnancy places unique demands and stresses on your body. As your baby grows, your muscles work harder to support you and your fetus. Therefore, routine tasks may be more difficult and/or painful. Because each pregnancy and person is different, it is hard to predict how your body will react to these changes. It is important for each woman to take an active role in her health and health of her baby. This is done by making smart choices with respect to exercise, stretches, posture, body mechanics, etc.

   Positive Results Therapies offers:

  • Musculoskeletal evaluation

  • Education on pregnancy risks, pregnancy changes, postpartum issues, positioning hints, etc.

  • Conversation/support from other moms-to-be

  • Exercise program designed specifically for you and your baby
